The gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha are excited to announce Watermelon Bust 2007. This philanthropy benefits the North American Food Drive and all proceeds collected from this event will be donated to Gainesville Harvest, a local food distribution center. Although we have already completed a successful food drive at Westwood Middle School, our goal is to collect more food than ever! After having collected 1000 pounds of food, we are hoping to collect 7000 MORE pounds of food with this event to feed the homeless for the holidays and to make an incredible difference in our community.

Watermelon Bust 2007 will take place on September 16th from 12:00pm – 5:00pm at the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter house. This event will include penny voting, t-shirt sales, a banner contest, attendance at the field events, and a new watermelon bowling contest. The sorority teams will consist of five (5) members and you may enter as many teams as you wish. The teams will be competing against other sorority teams in the field day events.

The deadline for team registration will be Monday, September 10.
