The chapter had an overwhelmingly successful rush this fall. While recruitment numbers fell five percent along the row, Lambda Chi Alpha boasts a 40 percent increase in overall recruitment. Zack Parsons, the active High Delta/rush chairman, took a different approach on recruitment involving what the fraternity has coined “value-based recruitment.” The brothers vigorously recruit all 365 days of the year (even the extra day on a leap year) looking for the many qualities our institution instills: loyalty, duty, respect, stewardship, honor, integrity and personal courage. Almost half of the active brotherhood attended classes in the summer, which opened the door for the chapter to recruit many freshmen before fall rush week began. As of October of 2007, the chapter is already prepared for the upcoming spring and even fall rush of 2008.
